The sun kissed sea
breeze filled weather of the Mediterranean is home to the fabled Fig
tree
that symbolizes the continuous flow of time. Although considered a fruit, the Fig is actually a flower inverted into itself. Cultivated for over 6,000 years, Fig trees have tremendous life bearing fruit for up to one-hundred years. References to the Fig appear since the Garden of Eden. Figs were a favorite of Cleopatra. Similar to the terrain where it grows the Fig aroma is heady and sweet like the fresh Mediterranean breeze. |
